Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
In case of any discrepancy, the Romanian version prevails.
1. Who we are (the data controller)
The Rețetele Mele mobile application ("the app") is developed and operated by Trinx Solutions S.R.L. ("we"), a company registered in Romania, headquartered in Timișoara, Timiș County. Trinx Solutions S.R.L. is the personal data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and of Romanian Law no. 190/2018.
For any question about your data, you can write to us at contact@trinxsolutions.com.
In short: we collect as little as possible, we show no ads, we do not track you, and your recipes remain yours.
2. What data we process
Rețetele Mele is an offline-first app. Your recipes, albums, shopping list, meal plan and preferences are stored locally on your device and are available without an internet connection. Using the app requires an account.
We process personal data only in these situations:
- Account: your e-mail address and login data (encrypted password or your Google identity, if you choose Google sign-in)
- Sync: the content that syncs between your devices (recipes, albums, lists, meal plan, photos)
- Recipe import: the link you submit and the public content of that page, strictly for extracting the recipe (see section 4)
- Transactional e-mails: your e-mail address, for strictly necessary messages (address verification, password reset)
Explicitly, we do not:
- show ads or use advertising networks
- use analytics or tracking SDKs
- sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
- use your data for automated decisions with legal effect or for profiling
3. Legal bases
- Performance of the contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): creating your account, syncing and operating the service you request
- Consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): notifications and camera/gallery access, which you can withdraw at any time from settings
- Legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): service security, abuse prevention and limiting resource consumption
- Legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): keeping records required by law
4. Recipe import (AI processing)
When you paste a link (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or a cooking blog) to import a recipe, the public content of that page is sent to our server and processed with artificial intelligence to extract the ingredients and steps. For extraction we use AI service providers (for example Google), which act as processors and do not use this content for other purposes. We send only what is needed for extraction, and the result returns to your device. We do not use this content to identify you.
5. Where the data is stored and who else sees it
Synced data is stored on servers located in the European Union. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, transactional e-mail delivery, AI services for import) that process data only according to our instructions, under GDPR-compliant data processing agreements. We do not transfer your data to third parties for their own purposes.
6. Photos and content
When you add photos to recipes, the images are stored locally on your device (and on our server, through sync). Camera or gallery access is requested only when you choose to add a photo, and we use only the image you select.
7. Notifications
The app may send local notifications (for example, meal-plan reminders) if you grant permission. These are scheduled on your device.
8. In-app purchases
Premium features may be available through a purchase processed by Google Play. We do not process payments directly and have no access to your payment data; transactions are handled entirely by the respective platform.
9. How long we keep the data
Locally stored data remains under your control; uninstalling the app removes it. Synced data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, the data is deleted immediately from the active servers; technical backups are automatically overwritten within at most 30 days.
10. Account deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly from the app (Profile → Delete account) or by sending a request to contact@trinxsolutions.com. The full steps are described on the Account deletion page.
11. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- the right of access to the data we hold about you
- the right to rectification of inaccurate data
- the right to erasure ("the right to be forgotten")
- the right to restriction of processing
- the right to data portability
- the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest
- the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting prior processing
To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@trinxsolutions.com — we reply within at most 30 days. If you are unhappy with the response, you can lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro).
12. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures: encrypted communications (HTTPS), passwords stored only in hashed form, authentication tokens kept encrypted on the device and restricted access to server data.
13. Children
Rețetele Mele is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page, with an updated date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
